United We Plankout

Vusa’s mission is to Plank for a Purpose. Vusa will be traveling to all 50 states to share her skills as an endurance athlete. She will speak to a variety of organizations to motivate and cultivate strength and mindfulness from within and she wishes to raise money for causes near to her heart in each of the communities where the events are held.

Florida Planking Event

On April 2 at Sheraton Sand Key Resort on Clearwater Beach at 8am, Vusa will be raising awareness and money for Visible Men Academy. The event is free but donations will be accepted.

Visible Men Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Bradenton, educating male students in Sarasota and Manatee counties in grades K-5. VMA currently serves 70+ boys. VMA student body is approximately 45% Black, 45% are Latino, and 10% are white. The students’ families are from low-income communities (96% live at or below the poverty line and 6% are homeless).
